The entire experience ruined what should have been a special birthday weekend.

While the property looks beautiful in photos, our experience was extremely disappointing. Access to the house is very difficult and requires a 4x4 vehicle and an experienced driver. The villa itself did not match its luxury description, with worn towels, rusty equipment, and broken outdoor furniture. We only received one set of towels for the entire stay. The air conditioning also broke down, and no action was taken to repair it; we were simply told, “Sorry, we can’t fix it now.” Additionally, no one came to clean the so-called “luxury villa” throughout our stay. The most serious issue was that we were left without running water for most of our stay. Despite having a water tank, it had not been properly prepared, and no effective solution was provided by the property management. We had to buy bottled water ourselves, use pool water for toilet needs, and were unable to cook, forcing us to eat out for the duration of our stay. The house manager also stated that nobody was willing to bring water to the villa due to its steep and elevated location, as it was not possible for a water truck or similar vehicle to access the property. Owner initially seemed understanding but repeatedly claimed that any refund was “Booking.com’s decision,” which later proved to be untrue. When we sought a direct resolution, communication became unprofessional and hostile. Booking.com’s support was also ineffective, offering no meaningful assistance. Ultimately, we received less than 25% compensation for a stay costing over CHF 2k which is unacceptable. It is also concerning that Google reviews for this property appear to be restricted raising questions about transparency. Summary: Property may look beautiful, but the lack of infrastructure, poor communication, and complete absence of proper crisis management make this a highly risky booking. What we experienced was not just an inconvenience, but a serious breakdown in basic living conditions.
