Canopy Cottage is nestled under Spanish moss-draped Live Oaks – a symbol of southern nature at its most relaxed – that highlights this unspoiled oversized lot (1.7 acres!). With 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a large gourmet kitchen, and an outdoor patio setting with fire pit, games & activities, this pet-friendly Cottage will serve as the perfect location to connect you with nature. Immediately adjacent to the Palmetto Walk Shops and a short walk to the Harris Teeter shopping complex, there truly is no Vacation Rental location with easier access to dining, art galleries, and shopping for antiques, clothing or simply the essentials. It is only a short 1.5-mile drive to enjoy the public beaches and walking paths between the Ritz-Carlton and Summer Beach community for those beach days that make memories. Back at the Cottage, the common living space includes versatile sectional seating without sacrificing comfort to enjoy the 65-inch High-Definition flat screen tv (streaming only). There is a 6-seat dining table to enjoy meals and 4 barstools that overlook the large gourmet kitchen where the chef takes center stage. A fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops will meet every cooking and serving need. The master bedroom serves as an oasis for rest and relaxation. A King-sized bed and a seating area for two offers privacy for curling up with a good book or viewing a show on the the wall mounted 55-inch flat screen TV. The master also includes en suite bathroom with a shower\tub combination and a private entrance to the outdoor patio. The remaining guest bedrooms are a double queen bedroom and a single queen bedroom each with 55-inch flat screen TVs. Both bedrooms share a bathroom in a separate section of the Cottage for privacy and include large picture windows that offer expansive views of the property. Finally, a bunk room with two twin-sized bunks provides needed flexibility for the desired sleeping arrangements. A separate entrance to a large laundry room includes a stackable washer and dryer, and a rise off bathroom for cleaning off the sand after a day the beach. Parking will never be an issue with this large yard that has space for several cars, larger SUVs/trucks, RVs and boats. A short car drive will bring you to Historic Fernandina Beach with an impressive collection of area restaurants, museums, art galleries, Fort Clinch Park and local shopping. Amelia Island offers a quiet, relaxing respite from everyday life or an adventure for anyone. Water sports, horseback riding on the beach, world class golf courses and river cruises can be planned with the help of our Reservation desk staff. Pets under 50lbs are welcomed! No aggressive breeds and pet must be crated when guest is away from rental. There is a credit processing fee of $35 that will be charged if you cancel your booking, regardless of the booking or cancellation date. Some furniture may change in quantity or availability from photos due to season or weathering. booking and checkin, great. Arrival, driveway, entry and back porch filthy w/ yard debris/dirt. There had been a storm, we felt someone could have come out after, used a blower for our arrival. We had filthy shoes, the doormat outside was wet and filthy as well. There was no mat to wipe your feet and/or a shoe rack for dirty shoes inside door. The yard big and spacious w/tall weeds and very sandy. We brought a dog, but were unable to walk him on the property like we thought we would frm pictures. On busy road, loud road noise. Rooms are spacious, new furniture, nice, comfortable. Nice lrg kitchen, suggest getting mixing bowls (pancake batter), measuring spoons, paring, chef and bread knives. We bought a bread knife for our homemade bread. Wifi is iffy, in and out all the time. The wifi extenders are not doing the job. Some of us needed to work on computers, it could be difficult, for sure. Pedestal sink in the mstr bthrm is too small and/or cabinet above is too deep. Can't wash face without hitting your head on the cabinet, getting water on the floor. We couldn't do laundry, washing machine, brand new, didn't work. Someone came by after us texting twice for help. She looked at it and manual, left said be right back, came back, left again saying be back, didn't come back or contact us. We contacted them and were told nothing could be done, sorry!
