Location, good water view from top deck, hot tub, amount of bathrooms, parking was mostly flat, plenty of kitchen housewares, owner of house was great, close to major highways to get you to alot of towns/places to go, gas station very near.
We understand all things can happen and things can fall through the cracks, but we want to also be honest so it will hopefully help others.
We strongly agree that all the issues during our stay are on the management company hired/paid to keep/maintain the rentals for owners that live near and far. During all of about what I am going to say, I was also in co tact with the owner of the house and she was great to ensure that what was not a good experience, into a good one and also taking accountability and ensuring that once we left, she was going to correct all the wrongs for future guests. And I believe her.
So we hope everyone takes what I say with a grain of salt, bit this was OUR experience. And think that anyone after us will not experience the same. They were truely sorry. Again, we put this on the people that are in charge of ensuring the owners image is reflected accurately. That is why people hire management companies in the 1st place.
Loooonggg story short- we arrived for bike fest after riding for 6-7hrs. We got caught in the huge rain storm that hit the area as we were arriving, so we were ALL soaked when we pulled up. Walked in and the HK was not done at all. Beds not made, dishes in sink, everything dirty.
So I called immediately to customer service that was provided on my email check in a few fays earlier(this is how I was put in touch with owners). She was embarrassed and they worked to get HK crew there within an hr. When the HK crew showed up, she admittedly said she was sorry and she wasn't sure how it got missed but she did. She was apologizing and offered to go give us a comp credit towards a dinner (since we were not going to be able to cook at the house like we originally planned for when we arrived)
So we left for 2 hrs and went and ate. The comp covered a little over half of our 16 person dinners. A little disappointed but better than some would have offered in this case.
We went back to the house. They were leaving.
