Super cozy and beautiful views across the bay to Disko Bay. With the binoculars, we saw whales from the living room on two different occasions. The kitchen is functional and there’s just about enough of everything to cook if you decide to do so. The decked terrace is perfect for a lunch outside in the sun
The bed was comfy and the sofa bed is easy to open and close every day.
The most lumping is what you would expect for the Arctic so the shower takes a little bit of time to drain. Just don’t plan on taking super long showers and you will be just fine.
Be aware it is a 15-20 minutes walk to the center of town. We loved that but some people may not enjoy it as much as others.

Die Lage direkt am Meer ist Spitze !
Die Ausstattung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Küchengeräte sind alle zusammengesammelt und entsprechen nicht dem Preisniveau! Das Bett ist nur für eine Person nutzbar, das Sofa im Wohnzimmer ist aber als Bett umbaubar. Die Treppe zum Schlafraum bzw. Bad ist sehr steil, da muss man sich nachts konzentrieren. Die vielen großen Fenster sind zwar wunderschön, aber leider lassen sie sich nachts nicht verdunkeln und da die Sonne im Sommer nicht untergeht, sollte man dringend eine Schlafmaske dabei haben. Die Nachmittagssonne heizt das ganze Haus sehr auf, die Klimaanlage schafft es nicht ! Die steile Treppe hinunter zum Haus erfordert eine gewisse Fitness, erst recht, wenn man Koffer zu tragen hat. 535 €/ Nacht sind eindeutig zu teuer !

The property was great in practical terms, pleasantly warm even with snow outside, a well stocked kitchen and fast internet, and a bit more spacious than we’d imagined from the photos. But it will last long in the memory as an aesthetic experience, sitting on the sofa watching the icebergs flow slowly by and looking out on to the colours of the midnight sun. We stayed for a week and loved the place.
