the location was perfect - right by all the popular tourist attractions, but tucked away a half block. easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff very friendly and accommodating. we LOVED the heated floors in the bathroom, and the robes/slippers provided. They realized we were there on my birthday, and sent up a complimentary bottle of wine!
room was very comfortable. they were so close to SO many coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants!
the only issue we had was that the weather was warm, and the air conditioning was turned off. The only way to get cool was to open the windows, which was fine...but... the street was quite noisy with people partying til early morning, so it was hard to get to sleep. if we closed the windows, it was really hot.

Breakfast was outstanding in the lovely top floor restaurant: nice view, peaceful ambience, brilliant service, a reasonable buffet selection and good range of menu options. The room/bed was very comfortable with high quality furnishings. The location could hardly be more central.
The grey decor in the public areas is a bit gloomy.

Locating in the perfect spot in the city between the upper town and lower town
6 / 10Average·May 2026
The hotel has spacious rooms and a very nice bathroom with a walk-in shower. Its location is excellent: very central, close to Ban Jelačić Square, the main square of Zagreb, and conveniently near a tram stop.
Breakfast offers a good choice of both hot dishes, such as omelettes and pancakes, and a cold buffet. However, the main issue is that breakfast is served until 11:00, but if you arrive after 9:30, the buffet selection is already quite limited because items are not properly replenished. This is not what one would expect from a 5-star hotel.
Another downside was the Wi-Fi, which was not very stable during the stay. Overall, the hotel has many positive aspects, especially the room and location, but the breakfast service and Wi-Fi need improvement.
