Casa Agata is a lovely family home situated in a quiet area of Santa Teresa di Riva, further up from the more busy coastal roads. The house is big and cosy and very clean, having all the necessary amenities to be fully functional. It is positioned favourably to give easy access to both the beach areas and the nearby hill-top villages of Savoca and Forza d'Agro. The view from the two terraces overlooking the hills high above and the sea down below is amazing. The parking is free on the road and during our stay was always available in the immediate vicinity of the house. Our host Maurizio is such a genuine, welcoming and kind person. He thoughtfully left us two bottles of cold water upon our arrival, as well as plenty of coffee pods for us to enjoy. Communication with him was prompt and easy via WhatsApp.
We found the location of the house to be perfect for exploring the beautiful villages of Eastern Sicily mainly Savoca, Forza d'Agro, Taormina, Castelmola, Bronte, Randazzo as well as Ortigia and Noto. Apart from the beach at Santa Teresa di Riva there is a another lovely beach at Furci Siculo just 6 minutes away by car. Make sure to taste the amazingly fresh pastries at Pasticceria Mastroieni which is just 3 minutes away by car. There are also two supermarkets in the vicinity of the house as well as several good restaurants.
All in all it was a beautiful experience and we would be delighted to return one day.
If I had to mention one thing, the sofa wasn’t the most comfortable for sitting on for long periods. Other than that, there is really nothing to complain about — we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was spacious and very clean. It had a nice “family home” vibe. We loved the terrace and huge kitchen/dining space. The host, Maurizio was very helpful and kind.
It was not functional.
- the shower in the lower bathroom had broken rain shower - you could not switch between rain and hand,
- toilet flushes were terrible, both needed to be pressed many times to work,
- the kitchen was huge but not useful:
- no cutting board or proper knife (we got a knife on request)
- no kettle
- plenty of espresso cups but no wine glasses or big cups
- not much cooking utensils
- no parking - the parking is on a side of a very busy street so it’s stressful to leave the car there, sometimes there was no place at all (we booked this place because it had information about private parking)
We booked this stay as our last stop in Sicily to rest, but unfortunately it was hard to sleep because of the cars and lorries right outside our window (on one side) and noisy highway (on the other side). During our stay most of the beaches we closed due to works after the hurricane (it was 5 months earlier, so we did not see that coming), so we had to drive to another city for a nice beach.

Ottima posizione! Casa grande, pulita, dotata di due bagni con doccia e una terrazza panoramica molto accogliente! Maurizio è stato squisito, sia per quanto riguarda l’accoglienza che per la disponibilità. Consigliatissima, come anche tutta la zona di Santa Teresa di Riva, spiagge incluse chiaramente!

Понравились некоторые объекты декора в сицилийском стиле в доме, включая красивую кухню - на самом деле чуть ли не это стало причиной аренды данного жилья.
Большое помещение состоящее из двух этажей.
Близкое расположение на машине к Савоке и прочим достопримечательностям как Таормина, Наксос и тп.
К плюсам могу отнести желание хоста помочь нам с арендой автомобиля, из-за форс мажора наш рейс был задержан и хост сам предложил позвонить в службу проката и договориться с ними о нашей задержке. За это дополнительный балл к оценке.
Конденционер в каждой жилой комнате.
Близко расположен магазин.
Жилье нормальное, но не тянет на высокую оценку. Моя оценка сформирована из личного опыта.
-Расстояние до пляжа - несмотря на казалось бы близкое расположение- 35 мин туда-обратно, на практике туда ты идешь с горы, а обратно в гору, это тяжело. Поэтому мы постоянно использовали машину, а с парковками на пляже полная катастрофа.
-"Free on-site parking" - на деле это просто парковка у дороги, которая рассматривается прокатными страховыми как отягчающий случай.
-Неудобные кровати, если двухспальная кровать хотя бы по размерам была подходящей, то маленькая кровать для нашего третьего гостя была как неудобной, так еще и маленькой.
-Фен-он был, но не работал, или же 3 человека не догадались как правильно воткнуть его в розетку.
-"Туалетно-косметические принадлежности", на деле - на кухне было 20 из 500млсредства для посуды, пустая баночка шампуня и 10мл баночка шампуня на троих на 7 дней, лол.
-На наш вопрос: "У вас нет немного порошка для стирки?" хост сказал что он не магазин, и порошок нужно купить, попутно указав, что нам и так предоставили пакетики с кофем. Ребята, cmon, мне не жалко купить все это, я просто не хочу париться об этом в отпуске, хост мог бы потратить 2-3 евро на новую баночку средства для посуды, и положить нам пару капсул для стирки, и у гостей не осталось бы перживаний за такую чушь.
-Смыв унитазов тоже как на водокачке , с 20 раза он смывает, а может и нет.
-У нас не было горячей воды- сказали хосту, он пришел и нагло обвинил, что я сам закрыл газовый балон. Я сказал не прикалывается ли он?, он сказал что нет. В последствии гор. вода была только на 2м этаже и то с перебоями, мы даже уже не обращались к хосту. Котлел требует замены. Хост кст 10 раз повторял пользоваться одним душем. Я думаю он знал обо всех косяках.
-Муравьи на кухне, их куча, еду нужно прятать.
-Ротанговая мебель на балконе не предназначана для сидения/лежания на ней
Мелочи окончательно испортили пребывание. Хосту следует поучиться держать язык за зубами.
В целом за ~800 евро за 6 ночей(3 человека) ожидаешь не описанного мной выше.
