It's updated, modern, comfortable, and clean. The curtains are nice and dark too. The check-in/out process was simple.
It was a pretty loud room. My room was on the 2nd floor above the bar/entrance area. I could easily hear bar conversations and music coming up through the pipes in the bathroom floor (because of the open concrete ceiling at the bar) and the street noise was pretty bad at times so the windows aren't great at soundproofing. On top of that the ice machine was just out in the hall across from my door so I heard everyone else getting ice through the night.
Room was smaller than most hotel rooms but not bad.

Very cool hotel, Taya at reception is a hospitality super star. Loved this stay in a cool old district. Bar downstairs on a Sat night is a hoot - noise doesn’t carry upstairs.
