First thank you for the upgrade. Made our 30th anniversary trip extra special. The room was fantastic, great corner view of street but still private, large, very comfortable king bed and always exceptionally clean. Although small, the rooftop is picturesque and plenty of room for morning coffee, or siesta.
The staff at the hotel are great - warm, and very attentive. They made sure our stay was comfortable and accommodated any ask. I somehow misplaced my notes with everyone's names so truly sorry could not highlight. But again everyone went above and beyond. The location is great, easy to walk around with shops and restaurants in every direction, but also easy to order Ubers for any adventure. Concierge is fantastic and will arrange anything for you if needed and sent us a very well rounded list of attractions, restaurants etc... that was game changing.
Was a little disappointed with the dinner in restaurant, steak not cooked as asked and dessert was not that great although staff were pleasant and accommodating. However room service, which we ordered on several occasions as tired from day's activities, was very good and again breakfast was good so may have just have been time of night we ate.
Elevator door needs better sensor as on one occasion closed on my arm stepping in and got a very bad bruise but this did not dampen our experience and would choose the Kimpton Virgilio Polanco again and again!!

The Kimpton is a wonderful hotel group, they give extra level of attention to detail - The beds are INCREDIBLE - Moving onto the Management, Concierge, and staff - Angel was beyond AMAZING! He was accommodating, helpful, communicative, and knowledgable. We really enjoyed out time at the hotel.
The closet had a strange smell, may have been the yoga mat? (Yoga mat was a great addition to the room) but I believe it may have caused a smell in the closet. A small personal touch of a plant, or a larger rug would have given a touch of warmth, but otherwise the rooms are PERFECT!

Lovely property aesthetically
The AirCon in the room wasn’t working. They told me breakfast wasn’t included, I showed them it was as that’s what I selected when booking, when checking out they again tried to charge for breakfast even though it was included.
