Everything was perfect. Beautiful place and garden, lovely apartment, great location to visit Etna and the area, delicious breakfast. Lella and her team are wonderful hosts, they always had amazing tips for activities, restaurants etc. We will come back!
Nothing, we liked it a lot!

Our wonderful host made us feel at home as soon as we arrived with a handwritten note and fresh fruit. The apartment was perfect, well-equipped and very comfortable for our family of four. It was late in the evening when we arrived and Etna was erupting! Lava was streaming down the side and we could see it clearly from our room! The breakfast was delicious, the drinks in the evening were generous and we ordered in fantastic food from local takeaways for lunch and dinner. The hotel feels at one with nature, surrounded by green, and the view of Etna is incredible. When we left, our fantastic host offered to post our postcards in the town centre as we had to rush for the airport! I hope we can return one day soon.
I wish we could have stayed longer.

The apartment is well-equipped and very beautiful, as is the rest of the agriturismo—especially the garden and pool area.
Also worth mentioning is the generous and delicious breakfast and, above all, the warm hospitality of Lella and her team. Not only did they give us great tips for restaurants and excursions, but they even provided a breakfast box for the days when we had to leave very early.
The agriturismo is located on the outskirts of Giarre, and it’s only a few minutes by car to restaurants and shops (a car is necessary—you can’t get around on foot here).
It’s also not far to beautiful beaches, Mount Etna, Taormina, or Catania (a 20–30-minute drive).
We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return to Virdamuri on our next trip to Sicily!

We absolutely loved our stay at Virdamuri. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by nature, and a perfect base for exploring Etna.
The room was spacious, beautifully designed and very comfortable. The pool was wonderful after a day of hiking, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Above all, the hospitality was exceptional – the hosts were genuinely warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful, with great local recommendations.
A relaxing and special place that we’d happily come back to. Highly recommended!
