Brilliant location but needs updating.

Location was brilliant.

Very large amount of stone stairs to the apartment. Very run down, didn’t look as good as it did in the pictures when we booked.

This property is in an AMAZING location for bars/restaurants and Cavern club etc. It is a top floor (4th) studio apartment with a couch/sofa area, a bedroom area with 8 single beds and then a kitchen area. It has 1 toilet, which has a bath and a shower. It was well cleaned but basic.

The apartment is tired but functional. We also had an issue with a leak due to heavy rain, the customer service was exceptional though!

An absolute pigsty !

Good location near Matthew Street

Well, where do I start ? The metal framed sofa bed was so badly bent it was like sleeping on a ski slope. One of the single beds was so broken the mattress fell through it when it was laid on. It had been broken before as a botched repair had been carried out. The repair was so bad that sharp metal staples were left dangerously sticking out which could have caused serious injuries. There was bad and unsightly water damage to the floor in the kitchen area. The freezer was unusable as the frost build up was so severe you would have struggled to get anything in it. The bath panel was hanging off and the taps on the sink were so loose that when you turned them on the whole tap rotated. The water pressure was so pathetic (barely a dribble) that we abandoned trying to have showers. The neon signs on the walls had usb plugs but there was nowhere to plug them in. Previous guests had punched / kicked holes in the wall with crudely cut and fitted MDF sections bodged over them. There was only 1 key for 7 guests which meant that when anyone returned, they had to walk up 6 flights of stairs, unlock the door then walk back down 6 flights of stairs to put the key back in the lockbox, then finally, walk back up 6 flights of stairs to go to bed. I complained about the sofa bed as soon as it was noticed. The broken bed was reported the day after as it wasn’t noticed until the guest went to bed. The owner of the property at first ignored the complaints. After chasing them up, they eventually responded saying that the faults weren’t reported in time ! After being fobbed off by the owner, I complained to booking.com who have just ignored me. All in all, an absolutely terrible experience !

It was light

There are lots of maintenance issues, the door to the actual apartment didn’t feel safe, it looked like it had been kicked in. There were pieces of wood just nailed down covering stuff up. No proper lights in the bathroom, big spotlights instead of actual light fixtures
