About this house rental
The Barefoot Bungalow is joining our collection for the first time in the 2024 season. Situated on the shores of Lake Kai, this home features a large outdoor living space on the water, bike shed, kayaks, outdoor shower, and sleeping space for up to 14 guests. With a main floor primary bedroom, this home is a great fit for multi-generational families.
The Beachwalk Resort community offers renter access to all resort amenities, including heated pool, splash pad, toddler pool, private lake, stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, fishing, paddle boats, tennis courts, basketball courts, clubhouse, on-site cafe, and more. A boardwalk path to Lake Michigan allows easy access to Sheridan Beach.

We had a wonderful time and the location of our house was perfect. We were close to all the amenities and had a view of Lake Kai the whole time. Our grandchildren loved the beach right outside our door. We spent many happy hours on the screened in porch, loved the pool nearby and celebrated with ice cream in the evening. Would highly recommend this rental.

Great location of property in a nice neighborhood with parks and areas to walk. Very clean and family oriented. Our property included plenty of sleeping options and a nice screened in porch with plenty of seating and outdoor seating and you step right onto the boardwalk which surrounds the lake homes as well as continues down Lake Kai. Our unit was very generously stocked with soap, toilet paper, some shampoo, K-cups, plenty of kitchenware and cooking and grilling utensils. Washer and dryer and plenty of bath towels. Storage shed included 6 beach chairs, 2 wagons, 2 beach umbrellas, cooler and beach toys. Approximate 15-minute walk to beach. Beach was beautiful and well worth spending a couple days. Our property was just 1 home away from the pool and splash pad which was included in our stay. There is a cute cafe/ice cream/coffee/gift shop where you can get to-go or eat outdoors. Soft serve was excellent! Sand volleyball, basketball court, tennis court, open area with fireplace and tv for larger groups, paddle boats, kayaks and shuffleboard also available. There was music in the park on Saturday night. You will need a resort band to enter the pool area. If you lose your wristband etc you will have a 15 fee to replace. Parking pass is provided and we had to purchase an additional pass and had off street parking. Would recommend the area for a nice getaway family vacation.

We enjoyed our stay. The location of the house was great. Kai lake is not really a lake you’d want to swim in (although a few do). The pool facilities were great, the common areas with ping pong, pool table, basketball & tennis court, playground and gardens. We moved walking around. The house has its own kayaks, bikes, wagon and chairs for beach, umbrella. We did not see any towels that resembled beach towels, so bring your own. There is a hairdryer. Any cooking items (oil, spices) are not stocked if you plan to do cooking.

Professional and smooth start to finish. Great location and proximity to amenities. Kept kids busy dawn to dusk without the stress of entertaining them. Set up very well for three families with 3 or less kids each to share. Well stocked and kid friendly.
