The Village of El Portal is a small village tucked away in a small forest. The neighborhood is roughly bounded by West Little River to the south, Miami Shores to the north and east, and Miami to the west. Mediterranean inspired architecture hidden by the thick greenery and tall oak and poinsettia trees, making it one of Miami’s most undetectable – but beautiful – neighborhoods. A tiny bit isolated from from the hustle and bustle, it’s a quick 2-minute ride to food and entertainment you will find in Miami Shores and West Little River. If you like being incognito, and want to be surrounded by nature, El Portal awaits. Walking in the neighborhood is safe and enjoyable. It is a few minutes walk to Miami Shores with its cafes and restaurants to the north and the Citadel Food Hall to the south. Parking is not an issue and most restaurants have parking available in the alleys behind them. We always recommend renting a car. UBER and LYFT are always just 5 minutes away. Citadel - 0.5 miles Miami Airport - 9.8 miles Fort Lauderdale Airport - 25 miles North Beach - 10 Miles South Beach - 12 Miles Wynwood - 4 miles Downtown - 8 miles Midtown - 3 miles Design District - 3 miles Everglades - 30 miles Hard Rock Stadium - 9 miles Hard Rock Casino - 17 miles Cruise Terminal - 10 miles - Check in at: 4:00PM and Check out at: 11:00AM - We do offer early check-in for $50/hour and late check-outs for $100/hour. This is offered based on availability. -Late checkouts are charged at $50 per half hour after 11am unless otherwise approved. We hate to do this but we sometimes have to turn our unit for the next guest to check in on time. -Quiet Hours after 10pm - Please take trash and remove food from fridge / freezer - Driveway limited to 1 vehicle. -Quiet Hours after -10pm Please: We like to keep our neighbors happy! - Prior authorization is required prior to having additional guests other than the amount on the reservation. If you have any additional guest(s) beyond the amount on the reservation, you will be charged $50.00 per guest, per night. - Prior authorization is required for parties. A party constitutes if there are more guests over the amount of guests allowed at the property and these guests are either visiting and/or staying at the property. If a "party" takes place, we hold the right to charge you the party fee of $1000.00. Please note, this party only covers the act of a "party." If there are any damages or other broken house rules, you will also be charged any additional fees at our discretion. Please contact us for information on hosting events or parties. Approval is required. No parties $1000.00 fee applies and will result in termination of fee. If there is a “party”, as defined below, a $1000.00 fee will apply PLUS ANY AND ALL additional costs to repair damages and get the property up to standards. This is at managements discretion. Party is defined by having anyone at the house that is not approved or more than the number of guests that have been accepted on the reservation Pets are permitted on a case by case basis, please contact us for more information. A non refundable pet deposit will be required. If pets are found on premises or evidence of that a penalty fee of $500 will be assessed in addition to any damages that may be a result. Service animals need proper documentation and notice at time of booking. CAMERAS CAN'T BE MOVED FOR ANY REASON OR $1000 FEE WILL APPLY Late checkout: any checkout later than 11:00am will be charged $50.00/ 1/2 hr. An exception would be if a party otherwise makes an agreement and/or arrangement Sand: Please wash sand and excess sunscreen off before entering! Try your best to rinse sand off of your body/feet before walking inside. Brush rest of sand off of body before bathing. Remove sand from items before washing. If not, it will clog our machine and you will incur a fee Smoking: NO SMOKING INSIDE All smoking should be done outside. All cigarettes should be disposed of in the outdoor trash can. If you do smoke inside a fee of $1,000.00 will apply!!!! Any odor and/or usage items will indicate smoking inside No illicit substances allowed inside or outside the property Toilets: Please do not flush: Baby wipes, cleaning wipes, feminine hygiene products, paper towels, tissues, or trash of any kind as sign indicates since the pipes are very narrow. If pipelines get clogged ALL plumbing expenses will be charged. Furniture: If furniture has been moved, please return each item to the original placement. Please do not use any indoor furniture, linens, pillows, etc. outside Outdoor: Return all outdoor cushions and furniture to original location. Please DO NOT hang towels on the outdoor chairs and furniture as it's exclusive for guests use and will damage the towels. Charges will apply to guest to cover towels replacement expenses. Kitchen: Rinse all used cutlery and kitchenware, place in dishwasher and start dishwasher using the detergent provided under the kitchen sink. Completely clean all used cutlery and kitchenware. Remove/dispose of all used eatable items. Trash: Empty all trash/bins and dispose of in outdoor main trashcan. Thermostat: Please do not set thermostat(s) any lower than 73 degrees F. Prior to leaving property please thermostat(s) to 76 degrees F. Additional Guests: Any number of guests above the amount on the initial registration or over our max capacity will be charged $100 per person per day. If you are having 2 people in total stay put 2 not 1. We are very strict on this policy as we have had some guests say there is only 1 person coming but have 4 and throw a party. IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL GUESTS OVER THE AMOUNT ON THE RESERVATION, THEN, YOU WILL BE CHARGED A PARTY FEE IN ADDITION TO THE ADDITIONAL GUESTS UNLESS PRIOR APPROVAL WITH MANAGEMENT. NOTE: FAILURE TO REASONABLY COMPLY WILL EFFECT RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT AND WILL INCURE FURTHER COSTS BEYOND THE SECURITY DEPOSIT IF NECESSARY. ALL OF THE ABOVE CARRY AN ADDITIONAL FEE AT MANAGEMENT DISCRETION. Thank you for your help in keeping our property clean and running efficiently!
