Spektakuläre und ruhige Lage und eine grundsätzlich sehr schöne Bungalow-Etage.
Perfekte Park Gelegenheit.
Sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.
Es gibt nur ein Badezimmer, das nur durch eine Schiebetür vom Haupt-Schlafzimmer getrennt ist. Wenn Menschen aus dem zweiten Schlafzimmer nachts ins Bad müssen, werden die Menschen im Haupt Schlafzimmer gestört.
Zwei der Fenster zur Rückseite sind von außen undurchsichtig verdunkelt und das kann nicht geändert werden.
Es gibt leider Schäden durch Feuchtigkeit, die bei unserem Besuch nicht behoben waren.

No expense was spared in the design of this wonderful apartment. It has all the amenities, air condition, kitchen utilities and washing machine, two comfortable bedrooms with enormous storage space, a modern bathroom, a living room with sweeping views of the landscape from an enormous window and a fireplace, a patio and an even larger roof top with all the requisite outdoor furniture and barbeque pit. Down a flight of steps is a refreshing pool with umbrellas and comfortable lounging chairs. A large olive grove extends in the back. (The pool is shared with guests in the one bedroom apartment on the ground floor apartment that belongs to a sibling of the owners.) There is indoor parking. We stayed for three nights and in retrospect would have been happy to stay for a week.
Ragalna is a small village but centrally located in eastern Sicily, less than an hour by car to Catania or Taormina.
I attach some photos, all but the bathroom and main bedroom which were in use at the time.
Our hostess, Giulianna, was most gracious and generous with her time. Our rental car broke down in the evening on our way to Rahal, and she made numerous phone calls to help resolve our problems. Throughout our stay she made helpful suggestions supplementing the folder she had compiled with detailed useful information on the surroundings.
Nothing really, everything was up to and even beyond our expectations. The one drawback was the stairs leading to the apartment which proved a bit difficult but manageable with two large suitcases.

Rahal Etna is a very exceptional and comfortable place (with huge attention to details). Close to Catania and just behind the Etna volcano offers a very high level stay. The place is very spacious with magnificent decor, quality amenities, super comfy beds (and pillows to choose). The view is simply breathtaking. Pool is large and very nicely kept with summer veranda to chill and hang out. You have plenty of space outside with umbrellas and sunbeds. Giuliana (the host) has been extremely helpful, super quckly reacting to our questions and making excellent suggestions for the area. BTW: there was also pasta and all needed ingredients waiting for us (not to mention a nice bottle of wine). Highly recommended.

Het huis is ruim en licht.
Het huis wordt gepresenteerd dat alles op terrein ( zie tekst en foto's) tot de boeking behoort en dat je daardoor privacy hebt. Dat bleek niet. Het zwembad en de ruimtes daarom heen moet je delen.
Het zwembad was niet verwarmd. Het water was ijskoud waardoor we er geen gebruik van hebben kunnen maken.
De keuken is niet goed uitgerust met kwaliteit pannen en voldoende pannen voor een gezin van 4. Te weinig en goedkoop bestek, te weinig keukengerei of oud ( botte messen, knoflookpets dat niet werkt, etc).
En zo waren er nog wat punten.
