I loved the location! I fell in love with the neighborhood and it was so convenient, safe, and beautiful. As a solo traveler I felt safe coming/going at any time of day and there were people around. I rented the private double bed room and it was perfect for me. It was spacious, comfortable, and the price was right! The back patio was nice to sit and do computer work.
There was no window in bedroom.

Esta muy bien ubicado! Cerca de todo. El barrio es muy bonito y pintoresco. La casa es antigua y esta bien mantenido. Hay bares a media cuadra, con mucho movimiento pero sin ruidos molestos.

Capsule style bed felt incredibly private and was comfortable.
Before you book this, know that it’s a coworking space. I felt incredibly uncomfortable going in and feeling like I was disrupting everyone working in the common area. That said, this hostel was not social at all. Maybe I got unlucky with the crowd when I was there but it seems like the only people who were socializing were those who were working.
The bathrooms were filthy; however, I did hear from other travellers that Mexico City as a whole doesn’t have the most clean hostels so maybe this is normal for the area. It was just a bit of a shock for me based on the photos that I saw when I booked the property. The temperature of the shower was also either boiling hot or ice cold. This was not ideal as it was 4° when I was in Mexico City and I could barely stand in the hot shower without burning my skin.
There is no receptionist or on-site staff so you literally just walk in and find your bed yourself which I thought was a bit weird.
The towel provided smelt like urine and the fleece blanket on my bed had sticky brown stains on it. If there had been a receptionist on site, I would’ve complained, but the only means of communication was through a WhatsApp that directed me to a bot.
The front door was broken for half of my stay meaning that it couldn’t lock at night. My door for my dorm room could not be locked either. Thankfully, the area felt safe, but as a solo female traveler, this puts me on edge knowing that anyone could just walk in at any time.
