Not What We Expected: Cleanliness and Service Concerns
The location is great and public transportation is easily accessible. Tameike-sano station is really near and the neighborhood is pretty quiet too. The unit has a small separate bedroom and a good working area.
We booked this property for a three-week stay. Our flight arrived in the afternoon, so we checked in a bit late. However, we were immediately disappointed upon entering the unit. The place was dirty, with a rag left on the kitchen counter that had an unpleasant smell. Even the refrigerator was not cleaned.
Since there were no cleaning supplies available, we went out around midnight to find some and spent the entire night tidying up the place ourselves. This was frustrating, especially considering the cost of the stay, which was not inexpensive.
In the following days, garbage began to pile up because we were instructed not to use the bin downstairs. We tried contacting the property manager but received a delayed response. By then, we had figured out how to properly segregate and dispose of the trash on our own. It would have been much better if we had been given clear instructions and timely assistance from the start, especially for a three-week stay.
Additionally, the bathroom drainage became clogged due to a gel-like substance. We had to clean the blockage ourselves, and despite reaching out to customer service, we never received any response.
Overall, this was not the experience we expected or hoped for. Better communication and maintenance would have made a significant difference.
