Close to the station, an easy, flat walk. Check-in and out was smooth, I left my swipe card in the room, they sorted it happily and quickly. Breakfast was simple but good.
Not only was it close to the station, but right on the train line and next to a crossing. The bells from the crossing go frequently and the trains are noisy, only stopping between 10:15pm & 5am. The opposite side of the building was probably ok.

I liked how friendly the staff was and how comfortable the room was.
It made sense why it was less expensive than other places because it's right on the tracks so you hear trains all night. Also, the breakfast was lacking compared to other places I stayed in Kii Tanabe.
