We had a lovely stay and felt immediately at home, especially when we saw the coffee maker with a generous supply of coffee pods. The unit is clean and inviting. Our host communicated with us several times before our arrival with clear instructions about how to access the key and how the property should be left upon checkout. Parking was very convenient, immediately in front of our door. The AC unit kept us comfortable at all times, and the washer/dryer combo in the house was a great convenience. If we ever return to Charlotte, I would love to stay in the same unit.

So, it wasn’t exactly clean feeling. There was hair left on the shower curtain from a previous guest that had shaved. The interior doors had dark spots, smudges from usage, around door knobs which could have easily been cleaned with a Clorox wipe. The dirt in the corners on baseboards was clearly evident. The shower curtain bothered me but the other stuff made me wonder when the last time a thorough cleaning had been done. The towels are rather old and had some holes in them, but they did smell clean. The carpet definitely needs to be replaced as I would not recommend walking barefoot on it. Several noticeable stains on the carpet. The neighborhood is just on the edge of being in a good neighborhood. For the positive, they had the comfiest beds I have ever slept on in my entire life. If you need a firm mattress, you probably won’t like these, but they are wonderful in my opinion and the pillows and bedding are top notch. We did meet the owner as we left. She was very, very nice. I would recommend that you put the key on a key chain as we ended up not doing that and lost the key. I would also recommend that you make sure to deadbolt the lock at all times. The smell of marijuana was prevalent in the unit and never went away, but I’m not sure the owner could control that as this is a middle unit and you can smell things from the units on either side of you and hear other units as well. The people in the A unit were loud until midnight but then quieted down.
