Escape to our waterfront canal home in beautiful Colington Harbor, where you can enjoy the best of the Outer Banks without fighting the beach crowds or heavy traffic. Located just 3 miles from the oceanfront, our home offers a relaxing coastal setting with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions.
This home is designed for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the water. Recent updates include an updated kitchen and a new fire pit added for 2026, perfect for evenings by the canal. The home also features a screened Florida-style lanai, giving your group a comfortable outdoor space to relax without the bugs sending you inside.
Guests love the waterfront lifestyle here. You can swim or float in the warm canal water, launch a kayak or paddle board with ease, and explore the nearby canals and sound. We provide easy water access steps, a floating dock, and space for your water fun right from the property. Bring your boat or WaveRunners too — we have a dock, lift, and Jet Ports, depending on the size of your watercraft.
The main level features a large deck overlooking what we proudly call Garber Harbor — the perfect spot for morning coffee, sunset drinks, or simply relaxing by the water.
The lower level is all about fun and convenience, with a hot tub room, TV, refrigerator, and our Jimmy Buffett-themed sports bar complete with 3 TVs and a sound system. There is also a full-size refrigerator downstairs, making it easy to store drinks, groceries, and supplies for a full week’s stay.
Inside and out, the home is loaded with amenities to help make your vacation easy and comfortable, including:

The Jewel of Colington Harbor ! From the moment we booked, we knew we had found something special. The hosts' communication was exceptional—prompt, thoughtful, and clear. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and completely at home.This home is nothing short of spectacular. Every room was a thoughtfully designed space inviting you to slow down, relax, and simply enjoy the beauty surrounding you. The home provided the perfect backdrop for making priceless memories. This isn't simply a vacation rental—it feels like a cherished home, graciously shared with others.The kitchen is well equipped. Whether you're preparing breakfast, an elaborate seafood boil, or a family feast, you'll find absolutely everything you could possibly need.The outdoor spaces were equally extraordinary. The private dock allowed us to soak in the peaceful beauty of Colington Harbor. The kayaks allowed us to explore the tranquil canals and breathtaking scenery from a whole new perspective.The downstairs bar ... WOW! This space completely exceeded our expectations. It became the heart of our family gatherings—a place filled with laughter, storytelling, games, and unforgettable moments.This is the perfect place to experience the Outer Banks. Our family gathered here to celebrate, reconnect, and create new memories that will stay with us. Our only regret is we did not book two weeks. We leave with grateful hearts, already dreaming of the day we can return.

The pictures don’t even do it justice. It’s a beautiful, quiet, peaceful place - a little slice of heaven. There is lots of space, everything you want, need, and more! Although we could have stayed in that one spot the entire week, it’s also conveniently located by a cute coffee shop, amazing restaurants, and all within a short driving distance to all the other things OBX has to offer. Thank you Garber Harbor for helping my family make amazing memories!

Hey next guest...make it a point to meet the homeowner. He does a wonderful job of letting you know the small details on the property. To Scott ...thanks for sharing the house. It was a perfect setup and had all the little things. Enjoyed the kayaks for all 7 of us, borrowed your beach chairs for the beach trip and really appreciated the neighbor fishing hookup. We loved the bar and spent time there playing darts. The favorite for us was the back deck overlooking the dock. The house had all the bits and pieces for our cooking endeavors too. Your checking in along the way was nice. We also liked the recycling center being on the way out so we could drop off our recycling. All to say, I got nothing bad to say. A few minor suggestions I shared but overall an excellent stay. I always say the best review is one where the guests mention they would stay again. Well, we would stay again and just might in the future.

The hosts were great. We're willing to meet us before hand to go over everything with us. Communication was a plus, we had a minor issue and Scott came by instantly to handle. House is Hugh, met every need we had. So many amenities and great location. I will say that VRBO needs to correct their listing as bed linens and towels are not included in rental, but because the owner is on top of things we quickly worked that out prior to arrival.
