We’ve travelled quite a lot and stayed in many guesthouses around the world, but Guest House Bonito in Kochi genuinely stands out. It’s rare to find a place where such a high level of cleanliness and comfort goes hand in hand with preserving an authentic atmosphere and local character.
We stayed in a spacious room for two, beautifully arranged with great attention to detail. Everything feels thoughtfully designed without losing the charm and atmosphere of a traditional guesthouse. The bathrooms, toilets and kitchen are exceptionally clean and very well maintained. There is also a washing machine and dryer, which is especially convenient for travellers.
The location is fantastic — right in the centre of Kochi and within easy walking distance of Hirome Market and many other places in the city.
The owner is also wonderful: very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. We are travelling by bicycle, and we really appreciated having a dedicated, covered place where we could safely keep our bikes.
You can really feel the care and attention that goes into running this place. For us, Guest House Bonito was not just a place to sleep — it was part of the experience of visiting Kochi.
Highly recommended. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kochi!
