The hotel is older, but the rooms have been completely remodeled and were very comfortable. I really appreciated the smart layout with both a kitchen sink and bathroom sink, plus a good-sized refrigerator and microwave in the room.
The beds were huge and super comfortable, which mattered a lot because we were traveling for basketball. Breakfast was also a big plus for us. They served the traditional waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, apples, oranges, and yogurt, which was perfect for my crew.
The coffee machine was automated and a little watered down, so I would plan to buy coffee elsewhere. The ice machine was broken during our stay, but I’m sure they are working on getting it fixed. There is also no laundry facility on the property.
The neighborhood is a little sketchy, so I would recommend locking your car and being mindful of your surroundings. However, the staff was very thoughtful and provided excellent customer service. They checked in to see how our stay was going and even allowed us to check out an hour late so I could catch a quick nap between games.
All in all, this is what excellent customer service looks like. The staff truly made the stay better by simply caring and trying.
