The check-in process took almost one hour. I arrived at the hotel at 6:20 pm, went to the check-in desk, and finally saw someone around 8 pm. Finally went to the room to get my suitcase on the floor at 8:30 pm.
Looking at the mob line-up (with many receptionists), I asked a hotel employee if this is usual or just this particular time slot, something I should avoid getting away for 30 min or one hour to come back to. Two different employees told me that the World Cup and some group check-ins are taking time. They were neutral, not recommending I go away, and not telling me that it would be a long line, more or less the same as later at a major airport's security line.
The receptionist told me that it is the largest hotel in Northern Texas with over close to 1,900 rooms, and the situation is always like this. I did not expect this. I was lucky I did not have a business appointment lined up in the evening. I would have liked to know in advance.

No ventilation in the bathroom and the light was blinking in the bathroom. Some of the staff are very fluent in serving but some are not but attitude was good.

Such a great hotel! The experience and staff were so superb. I loved how it was so centrally located to all the great places to visit in the downtown Dallas area. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in downtown Dallas. I would 100% stay there again!
