Backstage Boutique SPA Hotel

Very cool hotel. Glass everywhere, so you get great views pretty much wherever you are. Many doorknobs and chandeliers are made with everyday objects which was funky and fun. When we arrived in our room, our luggage was already there after dropping off earlier in the day, and we had 2 chocolates and a mini prosecco on ice awaiting us. I enjoyed the spa but can see why some folks don't. Even if you're not into the pods (which were much more like an interactive art exhibit with meditative qualities), the sauna, cold plunge and outdoor hot tub are stellar. There were thoughtful touches everywhere from the fresh fruit and tea selection, to the racks to hang your robe/towel while you go from one station to the next. The real standouts here are the service and breakfast. This was easily the most welcomed we felt in our 9-day trip across Switzerland. The breakfast was a nice mix of self-service and full service with some menu items made fresh (e.g. pancakes, omelette, etc.). They had the best selection of fruit we encountered at any hotel, and the local baked goods were divine. My only complaints were the bed and pillows weren't comfortable for me, and the layout of the room meant the in-room bathroom wasn't as private as I would like because it's built as a sub-room inside the main living space, thus wasn't soundproofed. Could be awkward depending on who you're traveling with. All-in-all, a truly boutique and one-of-a-kind stay.

Excellent stay for my family in Zermatt. Location was perfect. The Spa was a huge highlight. The whole family loved it and it was quite unique and special with views of the Matterhorn. What a wonderful place to relax after long travels and hikes. Beautiful property. Would love to stay again. And the breakfast was very good!!

This was such a wonderful hotel with a truly unique room. We felt surrounded by windows, allowing us to fall asleep under the stars, with a moon-shadowed Matterhorn outside, and wake up to breathtaking views. The staff was incredibly helpful and eager to assist us. It was a special birthday celebration for my daughter, and they thoughtfully had a “Happy Birthday” sign and balloons waiting for her when we arrived. The room was beautifully decorated, making it even more memorable. We can't wait to stay here again!

We spent four night at this hotel and had such a lovely surprise as we got upgraded to the sky and stars suite on check in. It was amazing. The view of the Matterhorn from the balcony was superb. The room had a safe for valuables. The bed was very comfortable with a memory foam mattress and the bedroom was spacious. You could look at the stars from the bed at night if you pulled the blinds back. There was a telescope set up in the living area also to look at the stars. The lounge was comfortable and the tv had many channels including BBC/ITV. The kitchen had everything you needed. We used the facilities in the kitchen to cook dinner a few nights when we were too tired to go out after long days trekking in the mountains. There was a small bottle of Prosecco as a welcome drink for us in the room and a Nespresso coffee machine. We didn’t get the chance to use the spa but saw other people enjoying using it. The breakfast was superb. Great choices of cereal, juice, meats, bread, fruit and cheese as well as eggs cooked to your liking. We had dinner at the fine dining restaurant one night and the meal was beautiful. A wonderful experience I’m glad we did not miss. The property is well situated for all the activities in Zermatt and very close to the train station (approximately 250metres). If we are in Zermatt in future, I will definitely return to this property. I highly recommend it to others who are planning on going to Zermatt.
