Breakfast meals were top notch with local specialties to try. The meals were the same daily. The rooms were decent and clean but basic wear and tear showing in some areas.
The onsen was clean HOWEVER the photos with the nice onsen with multiple pools and sweeping views is ONLY the men’s side. The women’s side is accessible via a code that changes daily (get the code from the front desk daily). There is only one pool, no view, 6 wash stations or so and a shower. Generally not busy or full ever. But disappointing the women’s side didn’t have a similar experience with multiple pools or views.

The breakfast and bath facilities were wonderful, allowing for a very relaxing stay. If I were to make a request, having a convenience store or kiosk on-site would have been even better. Also, since you have to step outside the hotel to find a place for dinner, I recommend checking nearby restaurants in advance for a smoother experience.

I wish the dryers could be upgraded to a fast and more efficient types. I do not mind paying more for each load of laundry to be dried.

Overall, the stay was just okay. The property is noticeably run down and in need of updates. Breakfast was decent, but exactly the same both mornings—some variety would have made a big difference.
I was particularly disappointed with the women’s public bath. While the men’s facilities were spacious and well-equipped, the women’s area was almost non-existent with no proper amenities. It felt like an afterthought.
Expedia listed us as a “full spa” but failed to clarify that it only applied to men.
