Get ready because when you drive here, this is off the grid. Actually the last 2 km are a narrow one-way street. If you rent a car, don’t get anything fancy get an SUV. Now when I arrived, I was greeted by amazing front and staff. Got to my room, which was an amazing villa. Love the property, it was very quiet. I am a solo traveler, and do not recommend it for a solo traveler, unless you just wanna get away from it all. Let’s put it this way, I was the only single person there amongst the maybe half a dozen couples. I’m giving this place a five stars because of the castle, the property, the staff, the rooms. Now I have to get into a few things that were a little bit disappointing. My air-conditioning did not work the first night, and it was hot. My villa just happened to be above the spa. So maybe I thought that’s why it was a little bit extra hot. But it wasn’t. They had ceiling fans, but no remote controls. The next morning I woke up got them to fix the air-conditioning, and bring me remote controls for the ceiling fans. The shower was absolutely horrible, all built up with hard water, barely rain down water. I also used the spa for one hour, and there were three showers that you could experience in the circuit, and only one showerhead rained down the other two were plugged.I just think maintenance has to go through this building and fix these small findings and it could be definitely a five star resort. It’s just frustrating when you pay premium dollars.

Amazing venue. Lovely staff. One small suggestion have a bar selling snacks during the day but otherwise wonderful x would recommend it to everyone

The breakfast was quite varied, ample selection and very tasty. Coffee and juice was fresh. Service was also good. We had dinner there one night and it was also very good and a solid wine selection.
The room was well appointed. The bed was comfortable and linens fresh and cotton. The 2nd floor open area has a great view of the Siena towers. And it faces east so it offers an amazing sunrise over the valley. The road to the hotel is a journey all by it's self. Use a good GPS and you'll have no issues. It's part of the allure of a 1000 year old building. I think it was under 15 min to get to Siena. It was awesome. The spa is quite nice and something you wouldn't expect. Hot sauna, steam sauna, large hot plunge pool, treatment rooms, and a dressing room with shower. I give it a 10 overall.

Relais la Costa – Dimora Storica is truly a gem. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with warm and attentive customer service. The atmosphere is peaceful and full of character, with stunning historic details throughout the property.
Our room was spacious, elegant, and immaculately clean — complete with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of fresh, local options and perfect coffee each morning. We also enjoyed the beautiful spa, which offered a relaxing escape after days of exploring.
Everything about this stay exceeded expectations — comfort, service, and ambiance. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious and authentic Tuscan experience
