We stayed in the Garst House in the ground floor room with private bath. Being mid-week we had the whole house to ourselves. The house itself is amazing with its history and furnishings. There were a few minor maintenance issues but nothing we couldn't handle. The listing could use more details about the various rooms. The shared restroom on the ground floor has no tub or shower (glad we got the suite). The second floor rooms have a full shared bath and the suite with private bath is much larger than the one downstairs. There are multiple options in addition to the Garst house, make sure you know which location you need to go to.

We loved it and would have given it a 5 except that our room was cold.

It appeared the place was not cleaned before we arrived. Bedsheets and towels were dirty, broken glass on the floor in two very different places of the house, 1 of the three queen-sized beds we couldn’t even use due to the frame being cracked and not being stable. Maintenance came out the next morning and said they couldn’t fix it so we had people sleeping on the couch and floor because the bed wasn’t usable, oven was filthy. The property is beautiful but all of the big divots in the ground rolled many ankles of several family members while we were out front playing yard games. All in all, we were there to spend time together as a larger family and we were able to successfully do that. We enjoyed our time.
