I had an absolutely wonderful stay at De Ware Jacob Hotel. The staff were polite, organized, and proactive — they communicated well in advance about any documents or information needed, and were consistently helpful throughout my visit. When I misplaced my umbrella, they even let me borrow one, which was such a kind touch! The hotel sits right in the heart of Museumplein, a beautiful and quiet neighborhood with easy access to local transportation. You’re within a 10‑minute walk of both the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, making it perfect for exploring Amsterdam’s cultural highlights. Breakfast was a standout: delicious, varied, and thoughtfully curated. I loved the immunity shots (perfect for those rainy days and you need a boost!) and the option to indulge in the complimentary champagne. The honesty bar was another great feature — perfect for enjoying an evening drink without needing to head back out, especially on rainy nights. My room (the twin bunk bed) was small but surprisingly comfortable, with plenty of space to move around. The complimentary bar was stocked with snacks and stroopwafels, which made the stay feel even more welcoming. This beautiful hotel has earned a permanent spot on my Amsterdam list — I’ll definitely be staying here again when I return.
