Great location. Helpful staff. Charming hotel.
Excellent breakfast. Nice happy hour. Shower head too short for anyone over 6’. Water could be hotter. Nice bikes for free rental.

We loved this hotel! The breakfast was amazing. Having a night cap was so easy with the in lobby keg and wine made it super easy. Only complaint was no fan in the bathroom but would 10/10 stay here again!

I really enjoy the character of historic hotels. I think they are neat if well kept up, and Historic Hotel Nichols did not disappoint. It was in walking distance to the lake/pier. There was free parking very close by and we were able to take advantage of parking in front of the hotel, but there were limitations. This property is over 140 years old, but is very well kept up. It has a lot of charm and the rooms were very clean. Nick, as well as all the staff worked very hard and were extremely flexible, helpful and kind. We enjoyed our made-to-order breakfasts and enjoyed being downtown with the shops and near the lake. A couple of things to note was that there is no elevator, so I was really glad that 1 of our 3 rooms were located on the first floor so that my my father, who is in his 80's and walks with a cane, could easily get to his room. Although we helped my parents with the parking around the corner, it would've been too much for them if they had been alone. We really enjoyed our stay at this property.
