We had an amazing time.

Very well decorated place, mixed with modern and traditional. Food was outstanding, a room with private onsen was amazing.

Lovely experience at Japanese heritage onsen - recently renovated

For $400/night for a room with a private onsen, free parking, sleeping mats for all of us - a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 baby and 1 p sch girl), with breakfast and dinner thrown in, this was quite the steal. Loved the experience in the private as well as public onsen (public onsen is a full onsen experience with sauna, indoor and outdoor onsen, plunge pool, and dry area) Room comes with an electric kettle, fridge, drinking area to admire the view. There are quite a lot of insects at night, so just in case it is not your kind of thing. Main parking is further from the room, but there is additional parking nearer the rooms.

There is only 1 private family dining area, which needs to be reserved in advance. - didnt know about it.

Expensive but good.

Our room had a private ofuro. We also liked the chef-prepared dinners and the convenient access to Aso hikes.

We had to hunt mosquitoes in the room every evening before turning it, with partial success.

駐車場までお迎えに来てくださり、キャストさんの笑顔や温かさがとってもよかったです。夜のコースもメインのお肉の量も十分すぎるほど、盛り付けも綺麗でした。個室露天風呂は大きくて最高でした
