Not suitable for families with children! Not worth the money! Dishonest handling of complaints
The wife of the host was kind with us. Unfortunately, she is not the one directly managing the structure.
We booked the property for two adults and two children, aged 3 years and 2 months, expecting to enjoy a family stay. The listing featured recreational areas, slides by the pool, and family-friendly conditions.
Unfortunately, the property turned out to be unsuitable and, in our view, unsafe for children, so we had to leave after less than 24 hours.
Access to the accommodation involves very steep stairs and elevated walkways with inadequate protection.
Within just a few hours, our 3-year-old (who's been traveling with us since he was 6 months old) had already come close to injuring himself several times. Besides, several bolts were protruding from the lining above the additional cabin bed intended for him.
The indoor bathroom is extremely cramped, making it difficult to use the toilet and sink normally and practicall
The shower is located outside and had several cobwebs. Because the indoor bathroom was barely usable, we were advised to use another outdoor bathroom. Reaching it required going down the same steep staircase and crossing to the other side of the pool, and the bathroom was also being used by other guests staying in the compound. Facilities cleanliness reminded an average camping.
We left after the first night and did not return to the property, having immediately informed the host of all the issues.
The handling of our complaint was, in our experience, dishonest. The host proposed resolving the matter through Booking.com by charging us for two of the four nights, even though we had only been able to stay for one night. However, when Booking.com contacted him to formalise the proposal he had made himself, he refused it and ultimately charged us for the entire stay. When we asked him for an explanation, he blocked our phone number.
Overall, this was a very stressful and negative experience for my family, and a very expensive one for campaign like conditions. We learnt we could find much nicer structures in the area, and for a cheaper price.
