Beautiful Apartment in Florence

Beautiful large clean apartment, close easy walk from train station. Quiet location. Large open living space. One bedroom was very large, the other is much smaller.

Narrow stairway and many of them to get to the apartment. We expected this but if you can't do many flights of stairs, it would be difficult for you to get to as the elevator is extremely small.

Nice property, but definitely needs improvement on several areas

The location is good, the property is spacious and modern and the host is responsive when we reach out.

Upon arrival, we were informed that the elevator was out of order, which was quite disappointing. We had specifically booked a third-floor apartment knowing that the building had an elevator, but we ended up having to carry all of our luggage up three flights of stairs ourselves. During our four-night stay, we also found two tick-like bugs in the bathroom. It became concerning enough that we contacted the host and sent photos to ask if they had a solution. They offered to drop off bug spray, but unfortunately, the presence of the bugs made us feel that the room, particularly the bathroom and floors, could have been cleaner. The most concerning incident happened the night before our departure. At around 10:30 p.m., someone unexpectedly unlocked and opened our apartment door without knocking. This was extremely frightening, especially at that hour. We immediately contacted the host and were told that it was one of their staff members who was checking in other guests but had mistakenly gone to the wrong apartment. Apparently, she had a key that could also open our unit. While we understand that mistakes happen, the fact that someone was able to unlock and enter our apartment without warning made us feel very uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about privacy and security. Lastly, we experienced two power outages during our four-night stay. We completely understand that there was a heat wave and that the outages were beyond the owner's control, so we do not blame the host for this. However, during one of the outages, we were without electricity from the evening until the following morning. Being without power and air conditioning overnight during a heat wave was understandably very difficult. Overall, there were several issues during our stay that unfortunately made the experience much less comfortable than we had expected.
