This was our 2nd stay at King of the Hill. The location is great! Easy 10 minute drive to downtown Brevard restaurants, breweries and shopping, and Headwaters Outfitters for canoeing down the French Broad River. The hot tub and outdoor movie screen are perfect for relaxing after a day of outdoor activities including hiking at nearby Pisgah National Forest. The host provided everything we needed from coffee to towels. The cottage is 1 of 5 available at Holiday Hill. Serene countryside with beautiful views of the mountains and pastures in the valley.

The house was perfect! It was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor area with the hot tub and projector. It’s also only 10 minutes from downtown so we were able to hop back and forth as much as we wanted. I would definitely stay here again! ***Be sure to read their arrival directions***

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The hot tub was very private, clean and easy to understand how to operate. The robes were a nice touch for getting in and out of the hot tub. The place was clean and there were even some snacks from the host as well as spices and other condiments and such in the fridge. The fridge also had an ice/water dispenser, which was really nice for refilling water bottles instead of having to bring water with us. I would consider staying here again. It's a bit far from Asheville, but we were there for waterfalls and hiking and there is a ton of outdoors stuff to do in that area.The only issues we had were 1) the water could be hotter in the shower. It was just warm, maybe even below 120 degrees and it just would have been nice to be a little hotter. 2) While it didn't pose a problem, this listing did not mention there were 4 other rental properties on the hill and the fire pit is a shared amenity. 3) There is a chicken coop right next to this rental and the rooster, while not the loudest I have ever heard, was somewhat annoying in the early morning hours. I am kind of a light sleeper & the rooster woke me several times at 1 and 2 am and then again at 4 & 5 am. That would be my only hesitation for staying there again. 4) The mattress is super soft & I felt like I kept rolling into a hole in the center.Overall, we were really happy with the place and the amount of privacy we had, but I do think it's important to note the rooster issue.

This is a nice tiny home with everything a couple needs for a good quick vacation. We enjoyed the stay.
