This was our 4th year at Storey Lake and our 2nd stay at this property. I don’t know what it is, but it just felt right and homey. We felt right at home here, and now have made it a family tradition to come every year to celebrate my son’s birthday. House is clean and the themed rooms as well as the “extras” was well thought out. For example, I love how there’s 2 garbage cans in the kitchen as well as a third out on the pool patio! This especially came in handy for a large family that cooks (and eats) a lot. I love how all the showers have body wash/ shampoo/conditioner dispensers, we never ran out of shower stuff. My son is autistic and he really loved the two giant bean bags in the movie theater/loft room upstairs. He would just dive into them lol and do “wiggles”. He also loved the jellyfish lights in the Sponge Bob room, we’ll have to get some of those for him. The kids loved the game room, perfect for keeping them busy. The house had baby supplies (I.e. pack and plays, high chairs, stroller). Everything was just well thought of and made the stay easy. House is short walking distance (about 2 blocks) to the Hideaway Club (waterpark). Though we were really bummed that the splash pad was closed for maintenance, my son really loved that. But the Bronson Club is included with the amenities so we finally explored that one. My son loved it, it was something new and different for him. And it was an easy 7 minute drive.
The hot tub temperature was not hot. Not sure if that was supposed to be hot or extra to heat, but the temperature was same as the pool.
