The service and friendliness was exceptional. Hedy leads the team and speaks perfect English. The team would help us to order food at 11:30pm on an online Chinese Marketplace, even other groceries and get it delivered in less than 20 min to our room.
The location is really great, very central. You can walk to Tienanmen, Forbidden City. It is a pedestrian street, so you need to walk 100m for taxi pick up. On a rainy day, the hotel will provide umbrellas and rain coats.
The hotel provides on a complimentary base a Chinese version of High Tea, with sweet and salty snacks, a good mix of oriental and western.
Any request we had, was met with a smile and a "Yes, we will take care of it". The our 12 and 14 yo boys loved it.
The traditional look of the hotel brings you in the right atmosphere of what Beijing offers (vs. other cities).
If anything, we missed at times some healthier western options at breakfast (e.g. granola, yoghurt or cereal). At the same time, they did have soy milk, which we could not find in many other places. Coffees were really good.
