A great house along the trail with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The hosts have thought of everything - and very helpful with any questions you may have. I wish we could have stayed more days to fully appreciate the area and properly hike along the trail. Due to flooding, heavy rain and road closures we were delayed in our arrival - but we still were able to walk to Magome and had a fantastic dinner at Haginoya that the hosts arranged for us and even gave us ride home afterwards. Definitely eat there! Food was amazing and the service outstanding!! I enjoyed the Furo tub for a soak and the beds comfortable. Would love to return!!

Large modern property with both western and Japanese bedrooms and lounge areas. Excellent kitchen
The property is actually on the Nakesando trail, but is a little difficult to find as you actually have to drive up an asphalted section on the trail.

Absolutely perfect location right on the Nakasendo Trail with great facilities including a very well stocked kitchen the vast majority of which was all included. What really made our stay, however were the amazing hosts - what a kind and helpful family. Our journey there was an eventful one with suspended trains due to severe rainfall but our hosts helped us so much, suggesting a different station to get off at and even came to collect us. They organised for us to have a beautiful dinner on our first night right in the heart of Magome and changed the time for us due to our late arrival. We were kindly taken to the supermarket the following day and helped with our shopping and the host family set up bbq’s the following two nights for us. Nothing at all was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and will be suggesting it to all our family and friends. We would love to return again at a different time of year.
