Mosamane Guest farm is a MUST!!

The farm is located in a beautiful area surround by mountains and trees. It was such a delight staying at Mosamane because of the stillness of nature all around.

The gravel road was a bit bumpy. I would suggest driving with a bakkie.

Although the surroundings are awesome I will never go there ever or recommend someone to go there.

Owner did not know about our booking. I phoned number on your confirmation but they did not answer, Find a telephone number on Maps. Place was so dirty with liquor bottels, etc from previous visitors. Name board on main road but then several gates with no indication where to go.

Bedding was fine.

Not Worth It

Where do I start? We ended up not staying as we felt unsafe. To begin we never received any confirmation message explaining exactly where to go and Google maps showed the property as being on the road, it isn't. We had to travel a couple of kilometres off the main road with no signs telling us where to go on the farm. The roads were typical farm tracks that are suitable for a pick-up or 4X4 but most definitely not a car. We are in a Toyota Cross and bottomed out several times on the road. When we finally did find a farm house surrounded by a 12 foot security electric fence and managed to get the people's attention, we were greeted by a young man wearing a side arm. He seemed very surprised to see us and led us for at least another Kilometre into the bush to an old house. He said this was to be our accommodation and it looked like it had been furnished sometime in the 19th century. When we questioned the gun he was carrying and the safety in the area he just laughed and shook it off. We had arrived late and explained that we had not managed to get any supplies on route and could he suggest a store that might still be open, or could we just buy some milk and maybe a little meat from him for the night. He refused and told us to go to the store and said he would call the owner and let him know we were coming into town. He told us the store closed at 5pm, we arrived at 4:50 and it was closed and locked up. I spoke to the 2 ladies with me and they both felt very unsafe at the property and felt that even though it was late, we would be better off moving on. We drove back to the farm and left the keys where the owner could find them and moved on to a much better place. There was nothing in the instructions where to go to find the property or how to contact the owner. There was no warning of the distance we we would have to travel on farm tracks and how unsecured the actual property would be.
