Unlike the other review, which dinged the apartment for cleanliness, I found the place sparkling clean.
The bed is reasonably comfortable. The air conditioning works.
The location is centralissima, even if the area around Muscova has turned into a bit of a tourist trap lately. I guess we’re part of the problem.
If anything, the place was too clean—it lacked any evidence of being used by humans. I had to buy dish soap and sponges, laundry detergent, and when I tried to find a pepper grinder or olive oil in the kitchen, I found little tear-packets in a bowl, which was a little dispiriting.
Communication with the host was weirdly difficult—things like “can I drop off my bag an little early and come back when the apartment is ready” were dismissed completely and kind of passive-aggressively, which I’ve never experienced before.
