Great value, great location and great host!

The "check-in" process was very simple. we got to the location and the key is in a lock box by the door. the combo to the lock box was given to us the day of check in. i was very worry that we wont be able to get any help while we are staying here since this is an unmanned hotel. we were receiving evacuation text messages due to weather. We were very worry. I texted the host close to midnight, and he replied right away.

Unfortunately the neighbor was very loud. we can hear every single steps they make. We were there for 3 nights. It would be nice if we can have extra set of towels.

Responsive staff, ok cleanliness

While cleanliness was an issue, the staff was apologetic and very responsive to my family needs. It was cold at night, and we requested slippers, and they went the extra mile to deliver it the next day. With their positive attitude, I believe they will improve in the time to come!

Overall, clean and convenient location. Very reasonable cost but you will have to put up with some noise.

Apartment was very clean. Easy to get to castle and the big Sakuramachi mall where we got off the bus. Close enough to restaurants. We recommend the restaurant at the bottom of the Superhotel a few blocks away. Easy to order in English on touchscreen.

Our young children, ages 11 and 14, had no problems with the steep ladder to reach the futons in the loft. Anyone with really young kids or older adults with joint issues should not stay here. Other issues: Not enough dishes: we had only one plate for 4 people trying to eat breakfast. The building shakes quite hard when buses and trucks drive by and the neighbors can be very noisy upstairs banging luggage around and talking loudly at 3 am in their unit. We also wish they had a longer clothes line to hang all our laundry. We did 4 loads and we did not have clothes pins.
