Without question the best service we had during our three weeks in Italy. If you want to discover a hilltop C13th Roman village, Monte Carlo is your place. Great location if you have a car - Pisa, Vinci and Lucca and Florence all easy to get to and with visiting.
Francesca was without doubt the most gracious and accomodating host. Her passion for service and love for Monte Carlo is evident in everything she does and the property - and is world class. To stay in a C16th abode was the experience of a lifetime with fire-side drinks before dinner in the village. If you want a real Italian experience - with service to match - then this is your place. We loved our night with Francesca. She is a terrific host - and pre arrival communication et al was world class.

Beautiful house with individual rooms and excellent and very helpful owners. Great location in the Montecarlo where you can walk to it's many resturants

This is the quirkiest hotel I have ever stayed in. It has the feel and decor of a 16th Century fortified town house combined with crazy art and ornaments.
The staff were super helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Loved the honesty bar and the rooftop beer garden.
Loads of great little shops and restaurants inside and outside the city walls and as ever friendly cats all over the place.
Breakfast was great and you can help yourself to the homemade cakes, the real hit is the spinach quiche.
Ssh it's a gem, don't tell everyone 😉
