J'ai adoré cette maison-Hôtel absolument ravissante (de jolies cours intérieurs) ainsi que la chambre très belle et confortable avec une grande douche, une baignoire séparée, un lit à l'étage et des produits d'hygiène de qualité (Chanel). L'accueil parfait avec un personnel qui fait tout pour faciliter le séjour (avec un système amélioré de traduction autre que le simple smartphone) et les transferts gratuits Gare/Hôtel/Gare. J'ai également passé une matinée à visiter des temples dans une voiture avec chauffeur de l'hôtel, ce qui était parfait. Dans une rue très calme à l'intérieur de la muraille mais juste à côté des points essentiels à visiter (temples, restaurants, etc.). Je recommande fortement le Shanxi, vous ne serez pas déçus malgré les notes négatives concernant le seul petit-déjeuner!!
Au moment de réserver sur Booking, j'ai lu que le petit-déjeuner occidental n'était pas à la hauteur. Pas de jus de fruit, de fruits frais (alors qu'on m'en a offert dans ma chambre), de toast (il y a un toaster mais avec une prise occidentale et pas d'adaptateur donc inutile...). Après ce 1er matin, les jours suivants je les ai pris dans ma chambre avec grand plaisir (j'ai adoré le coin salon-de-thé et table basse) car j'avais du jus de fruit dans le mini-bar, des fruits, des gâteaux. Je continue à recommander cet hôtel car ce "drôle" de petit-déjeuner n'a finalement pas du tout gâché mon séjour au Shanxi et le plaisir que j'en ai eu d'y être!

Le cadre exceptionnel, en plein milieu de la vieille ville, dans un bâtiment ancien magnifiquement restauré. Un vrai voyage dans le temps avec le confort de notre siècle.

The Mansion itself has been restored beautifully and is worth visiting in its own right. The room and bathroom finishes were of a high standard. We much appreciated being met at the station and being dropped off at the hotel. (Also the return trip.)
The hanging space in the bathroom was limited.
