You immediately get a homey feeling when staying here. The outdoor area is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly calming. The bed was very comfortable, and the room itself was spacious and inviting. The location is convenient, within walking distance or a short drive from many great restaurants, cafés, beaches and attractions. Most importantly, the staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always happy to help.
As the kitchen amenities are shared, there was only a single fork available during my entire 11-day stay, used by everyone in the house. In general, the kitchen facilities could be significantly improved, so I won’t go into further detail.
The Google Maps location is also inaccurate, which caused several inconveniences. While the property is within walking distance during the day, I would not recommend walking there at night, as the route goes through a forested area where I encountered snakes and large frogs. Also, I booked this place as I thought is closed to the beach but it does not have access and also that beach is not in a good condition atm.
I specifically booked this place because I believed the bathroom was fully enclosed, but there is a large opening in the ceiling. As a result, lizards and mosquitoes regularly enter, and debris frequently falls into the shower area from above. This also makes the bathroom extremely humid most of the time.
The bathroom itself was probably the biggest issue during my stay. The sink is installed unusually high, making it difficult to use without getting water everywhere. The shower water drains very slowly, so the floor becomes slippery and remains wet after a single shower. I would also not rely on the hair dryer, as it was the least effective one I have ever used. Additionally, there was never any hand soap provided, and the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel felt more like dishwashing liquid than bathroom amenities.
The room layout could also be improved. There is a side desk, but it is positioned very high and there is not a single chair in the room. As a result, everything ends up being done from the bed, whether working, eating snacks, getting ready, or relaxing.
On one occasion, there was no running water for at least 8 hours. I understand that these situations can happen, but what was frustrating was the lack of communication.
