Our family recently stayed at this beautiful riverfront mountain retreat to celebrate a very special milestone—our youngest child's high school graduation. Our adult children and their partners joined us, along with my mother, making it a meaningful family reunion that we will cherish for years to come.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by both the property and the thoughtful hospitality of the hosts. Although the first few days of our stay were rainy, the home was so comfortable and inviting that we never felt disappointed by the weather. We spent hours relaxing on the cozy covered porches, enjoying the mountain views and listening to the soothing sounds of the South Toe River.
The hosts truly thought of every detail. The kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked with top-quality cookware and everything needed to prepare family meals. We appreciated the extra refrigerator downstairs for drinks, the double washer and dryer, and thoughtful touches such as the s'mores roasting sticks for the firepit area and towel warmer for the hot tub.
One of our favorite activities was exploring and rockhounding along the riverbank. Later in the week, my husband experienced an unforgettable surprise when the nearby hatchery stocked the river with rainbow trout. After trying to catch trout all week, he suddenly found himself reeling them in and sharing a memorable fishing experience with our son, who loves fishing just as much.
After days spent hiking and exploring the area, the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind. The comfortable beds ensured restful sleep, and the spacious master bathroom, complete with a large soaking tub, provided another wonderful place to relax and leave everyday stress behind.
The property itself is quiet, private, and beautifully maintained. We spent many cool mornings and evenings gathered around the fire table on the porch, enjoying family conversations while listening to the river flow below.

There is nothing not to like about this property! It is just magical. Has everything you could possibly need as well. We didn’t want to leave and will be back!
