Abbiamo soggiornato presso il Castello di Calcione e l’esperienza è stata, sotto ogni profilo, estremamente suggestiva e appagante.
La struttura conserva intatto il fascino autentico di un’epoca passata, offrendo agli ospiti la rara sensazione di essere proiettati indietro nel tempo, senza tuttavia rinunciare al comfort e alla cura dei dettagli. Gli ambienti, sobri ed eleganti, sono coerenti con l’identità storica del luogo e contribuiscono a creare un’atmosfera unica, fatta di silenzio, armonia e autenticità.
Particolarmente apprezzabile è l’accoglienza: discreta, cordiale e attenta, capace di far sentire l’ospite non semplicemente cliente, ma parte integrante del contesto. Il soggiorno si trasforma così in un’esperienza immersiva, più che in una semplice permanenza.
Il Castello rappresenta una scelta ideale per chi ricerca tranquillità, bellezza e un contatto autentico con la storia e il territorio.

Séjourner au Castello del Calcione a été un véritable rêve. Il y a ici une énergie incroyable et apaisante que l'on ressent dès l'arrivée. Loin d'être un lieu historique figé ou trop formel, l'atmosphère est incroyablement chaleureuse et authentique. On se retrouve entouré par des siècles d'histoire, tout en étant totalement immergé dans la beauté sauvage et silencieuse de la campagne toscane — c'est un équilibre très rare. L'hospitalité de la famille nous a tout de suite fait sentir comme à la maison. Mais le grand point fort pour nous a été la gastronomie. L'expérience culinaire était vraiment exceptionnelle : chaque repas était généreux, authentique, et capturait parfaitement les vraies saveurs de la région. Si vous cherchez une évasion vraiment magique, loin de la foule, c'est l'endroit idéal. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner !
Nous avons tout apprécié, ce court séjour a été exceptionnel, et nous yreviendrons plus longtemps avec un très grand plaisir. Merci à la famille qui nous a si bien reçus.

Incredible and one of a kind…I usually do not spend many words on Booking, but this time I have to leave a mark. Arriving at Calcione is already an experience. Once you are there you can immerse yourself in a bucolic environment and get lost in a suspended atmosphere where time stops only in favour of peace. The owners are incredibly gentle and have helped me to get at ease in my room, while providing all the possibile information I needed. After many years I had the chance also to enjoy a horse ride with an incredibile instructor and before leaving the structure I conceded myself a rapid canoing in their lake. What a blast…and what a bless… if you want to experience Tuscany at its best, I cannot recommend any other place.

The Castello del Calcione was the perfect spot to not only explore Tuscany and the surrounding areas but also to rest and relax!
The whole staff were amazing - Julia and Miko helped us check-in and check-out, even carrying our luggage and Selvaggia and Yass made us feel real welcomed, giving us tips on which restaurants to eat at in nearby Lucignano and even activities to do, like swimming in the nearby lake or the pool on the grounds. Zoe and the rest of the team were great at the horse riding lessons and would like to thank Tabea for helping us book the wine tasting. One of the nicest “staff” though are the dogs - they’re really friendly and will even guide you around the grounds. If you book here, you have to have a meal by the chef - food was simple yet delicious!
The room itself was super roomy and clean and the breakfast was really tasty! I highly recommend booking here and look forward to staying again!
There was wifi available at the Costello but was a little weak while in the room - all the more to disconnect and relax though!
