From there, head to Rock Island State Park (a close 40 min drive) to rock hop through the gorge. *Great Smoky Mountains: Enter from either Gatlinburg area or Townsend. Plenty of hiking on both sides. Consider renting bikes to cycle the 11-mile scenic Cades Cove Loop; and river tubing in the summer months. Stay at Elkmont or Cades Cove Campground / Little Arrow Resort *Chattanooga: visit Rock City for must see views; Ruby Falls where you can zipline the falls and stay overnight in a treehouse.
