I loved the kind woman who communicated with me and was in charge of the apartment. She gave very clear and easy to follow instructions. She was also very friendly. The apartment itself was very modern clean and in a nice building with a beautiful entryway. The air conditioning worked really well during the heatwave and we were grateful.
I made this reservation because of all the positive reviews. I read all of them. I was shocked to arrive and discover it was not at all what I imagined. The apartment is located in an area where I didn’t feel safe walking around with my daughter. There were always police in the area monitoring the vicinity. Immediately when you get out of the apartment you are on a busy pedestrian road and parking area full of sellers and small shops. Not a lot of women in this area. Also the first day I went shopping for food and when I tried cooking, there were so many basic things missing like a sharp knife, scissors, cutting board, peeler. There were no serving bowls or plates. The kitchen is only there for show as it is only equipped to reheat food. The reason why we reserve apartments instead of hotels is so we can cook inside the apartment. I enjoy a firm mattress, but these mattresses where so firm that my hips and shoulders hurt when I was sleeping so I needed to constantly change positions. As a result we left with a soar back and neck. There was also a full length window but the view wasn’t nice. It was looking out onto the parking lot and you could see the freeway too and behind that the aquarium. If I left the window open for light, there was no privacy and the men in the road below would just look up into our window. I ended up hanging my bedsheet across the lower half to provide some privacy while allowing the light to pass through.
