We checked in on Sunday and did clean one bathroom and stayed one night- then moved to another property on Monday

Size

It was dirty ( dead bugs, leakage on floor, bathrooms not clean, etc). Pool was green -absolutely not usable. Refrigerator not working.

Disappointing

The house internally was clean.

Our stay at Shaker of Salt was disappointing. We rented this Airbnb for my granddaughter’s 8th birthday in Sarasota mainly because it advertised a private pool, and she loves to swim more than anything. Our plan was to swim every day, especially on her birthday, and cook out her favorite meal, steak. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the pool was completely green and had sticks and leaves in it. I reached out immediately, sent pictures, and was told the host would look into it right away. I followed up again the next day asking for an ETA and was told the owner and maintenance had been contacted and would reach out to me directly. No one ever called, and no one ever came during our entire 4-day stay. We paid $268 in cleaning fees, and the pool was clearly a major part of the property and our reason for booking. Because it was unusable, we had to rearrange all of our plans, and my granddaughter did not get to spend her birthday the way she had hoped. Since our stay, I have reached out several times requesting a partial refund due to the unusable pool. I received one email saying they were looking into it right away, but that was almost two weeks ago, and I have not received any follow-up since. The home itself was very clean and nice, but advertising a private pool and then having it be completely unusable for the entire stay is unacceptable. The lack of urgency and communication made the situation even more frustrating. I would not recommend this property based on our experience
