About this cottage rental
Little Pine House is a cozy, quaint 1950 cabin located in a private neighborhood called Flat Mountain Estates. It is in a cul de sac neighborhood, so there’s no thru traffic. It’s great for walking with mountain views at the top, and Ranger Falls and Cliffside hiking trails are just around the corner. The home is a one level ranch home with lots of its original charm. It is on a nicely landscaped flat lot with lots of privacy and outdoor space. Great for pets and relaxing, and the outdoor porch with wood burning fireplace is always a favorite spot. There is plenty of parking for 4 or more cars, and we are located near the front of our neighborhood, so it is very easy access with no steep hills. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, and 15 to Cashiers. The adorable town of Clayton is close by too. Oak Steakhouse is just 4 minutes away down Flat Mountain rd in the Skyline Lodge. We love everything about this spot, and sincerely think you will too!

This was our 9th summer in the area and our favorite home-away-from-home so far. The cottage was very livable, well-appointed, and so convenient to downtown Highlands. Our family’s favorite place to relax was the screened porch. We enjoyed many evenings by the fire listening to the sounds of nature or watching movies on the flat screen. This may sound strange, but even my afternoon laps felt very luxurious thanks to the tree shade, mountain breeze, and birdsong. Our dog (small doodle) got to live his best life walking the neighborhood loop and hiking nearby.You are 8-10 minutes from the Old Edward’s Inn (best spa and wine garden), beautiful churches, and high-end boutiques like Rosenthals. Headed the other direction, you are minutes from the hiking trail at Whiteside Mtn and another 15 minutes to Cashiers for favorites like Slab Town Pizza.The owners, Neely and Jennings, thought of every convenience in the home, and those special touches made the difference. The communication was excellent, and we wanted for noting during the trip. We will absolutely be back!

We really enjoyed our time here. They really have everything you need and more. It was great for our family to rest and relax here. The home is beautiful decorated. The beds were comfortable. The screen in porch was our favorite. Oh and don’t forget the hammocks. We wish we could visit again soon. Thanks for a memorable family vacation.
