About this apartment rental
In the 1920’s, the U.S. National Park Service commissioned Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter to draft plans for a series of cabins, a historic oasis nestled at the bottom of Grand Canyon. She named them the Phantom Cabins. Still in operation today, these rustic cabins are built of wood and native stone blending with the natural beauty of the setting. Colter literally invented the “Rustic Look” that now all National Parks in America incorporate. The vision for Doves Rest in creating our version of Phantom Cabins was blending the same Mary Coulter building tradition into our one-bedroom rustic jewels. We’ve incorporated a similar feel & look that blends with our own unique natural beauty and Native American history. Elegant and modern touches inside, along with full technology packages are not over-looked in each of these identical cabins for our discriminating guests that have come to expect and enjoy from Doves Rest Resorts.

This was our second time to stay at Dove’s Rest. The cabins are clean and well stocked. The property is beautiful. A great place to stay if you’re visiting Palo Duro.

Hosts were very easy to work with, prompt responses and accommodated special services, arranged a massage and charcuterie tray with wine for New Years Eve. Quick access to park entrance and I appreciate that its a gated resort. Nice little hiking trails on site to let the doggo stretch her legs, too....views of the canyon are exveptonal. Highly recommend Doves Rest!!
