About this house rental
Welcome to Sunset Cove! Relax with family & friends at this beautiful waterfront lake house on Smith Mountain Lake with breathtaking views and close to all major attractions. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, washer & dryer, back deck, patio, fire pit, free parking, sun deck near the water, wifi, tv, private dock, 2 kayaks, and life jackets. Bring your own boat, there is a private do k at the house and community boat slip at the end of the road. Marinas, restaurants, boat rentals, state park very close by boat or car. We have one security camera on the front of the house facing the driveway and parking area. It will be on during your stay.

The neighborhood was a little tricky for towing a boat. The property is located on a pretty steep incline so backing the boat into the driveway was tough but doable. Once you enter the neighborhood, it's gravel all the way to the house with lots of potholes and bumps. I was a little disappointed on how far the property was from SML State Park even after inquiring before booking the property.I stayed for two nights and was only at the house for the evenings. The house is very clean and stocked with what I needed for the two days. The lake is also really low right now (May/June) making the cove the house sits on pretty drawn out.

Great views, good location. Asking to take trash is much considering paying a cleaning fee. Recommend a tv in the master bedroom. Overall our stay was what we hoped for.

Nice, clean house right on the water. Both the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The view of the lake was beautiful.The stairs were no joke, but once you got down to the lake it's very peaceful.
