About this house rental

Glacier National Park is the reason most guests find their way to Huckleberry Haven — the West Glacier entrance is just 30–35 minutes out, close enough for an early start without staying inside the park gates. Summer is when this family cabin really comes alive: hiking, boating, and fishing right out the door, with 21 nearby lakes and towering trees doing a lot of the unwinding on their own. We put real thought, love, and effort into this cabin, and we're glad to share it with you, your family, and your friends.

Come in from a day of hiking, boating, or fishing and the well-equipped kitchen is ready for a home-cooked meal: dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and a Keurig for that first cup. On warmer days, Mitsubishi A/C splits in the living area and primary bedroom keep things comfortable. In the evening, free Wi-Fi and games round things out as you relax inside or on the patio.

Sleep 8 across three bedrooms, all upstairs. The primary offers a queen bed with ensuite access to the upstairs bath, plus its own A/C split. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony looking out over the mountains. The third is a bunkroom — twin-over-full bunk plus a trundle — with its own TV for the kids, sharing either bathroom.

Many Lakes is 16 miles southeast of Kalispell along Montana Highway 35, with Bigfork a quick 10–15 minutes away and Whitefish 30–35 minutes out. Whitefish Mountain and Blacktail Mountain make for an easy day trip if you're here in the colder months. This is the kind of place where the woods do the unwinding for you.

The home was nice and comfortable. The owners were great in communicating with us and making sure everything was ok during our stay. The Master Bedroom and Kitchen are the only spaces with AC. This is normally ok as weather in Montana doesn't get too hot. We had to keep sliding doors open and fans running due to bedrooms being upstairs, some of our days were a bit warmer than normal. One request was to drop our trash a mile down the road, which seemed a lot to ask of a guest when there is a cleaning fee and service that you are charged for during your stay. We left before the drop off opened and gathered trash and placed in a trash can in the garage. We wanted to spend some time in The Glaciers, Whitefish and Kalispell so this was a convenient location to visit all 3 areas and make our base camp. If you are wanting to spend the majority of time in the Glaciers the drive can be 45 minutes to get to the West entrance and over 2 hours to get in/come back from the East entrance. This can equate to a lot of time in the car during the busy season and would suggest staying closer to the Glaciers. Very close to Flathead Lake to enjoy swimming, boating and hiking on some smaller trails.

Easy access to all the places i like to go during summer. Close to Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. House was clean and we wereable to get it cooled down on the hot days. I thiught there was cable but you have to log into your own subscription TV. Air is only in the master and kitchen so the other two rooms staryed out a little warm. Lucky it rained the next day to cool everything down. The only hiccup was the owner wanting me to take the garbage a half a mile down the road, but we were able to get that worked out. I would stay there again.

We enjoyed our brief stay at this VRBO, it was clean with lots of space for our family of 5. Great and prompt communication with the owners. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies and bathroom necessities. We highly recommend to others traveling to the area.
