Torresassa is set on a hillside overlooking the Val d’Elsa and has the appearance of a small castle, with its natural stone façade and crenellated rooftop. The views are wide and open, the atmosphere peaceful and secluded, ideal for a relaxing holiday in Tuscany.
Just a short walk away is the small village of Iano, home to a good restaurant, a grocery shop, and a café. The medieval village of Montaione, known for its glassmaking tradition dating back to the 13th century, offers more restaurants, shops, and a COOP supermarket. The surrounding area is known for its white truffles, celebrated every October during Montaione’s truffle festival. The historic town of Volterra, famous for its alabaster craftsmanship, is just a 30-minute drive. San Gimignano, Pisa, Florence and Siena are also perfect for day trips.
The holiday home is in a peaceful countryside location, set within extensive grounds with manicured lawns, olive trees and Mediterranean planting. Large terraces extend in front of the ground floor and lower level, with an elegant dining table under a pergola and a comfortable seating area.
